Hello there,
my name is Patrick Reardon. As a potential future high school English teacher, I am constantly looking for new ways to explore my subject area and examine all the information that comes with it. On that note, this blog is designed to take a closer examination of all sorts of literary tools, tropes and conventions found within our modern day English canon. On this blog, I'll be dissecting key aspects of good writing, such as quality traits in character development, important notes on plot creation, and insight into cohesive world-building, I'll also be taking a closer look into how different media influence writing; for example, how is writing script and lore for a video game different from writing the same for a novel or series?
